Editorial Standards (How We Research)

Our guides are built from manufacturer specifications, official documentation, and official store listings as primary sources. Where we reference how a product actually performs for owners, we rely on publicly reported customer-feedback patterns — recurring themes across retail reviews — rather than our own hands-on testing.

How we verify: Key specs are cross-checked against the cited sources before publication. Prices and availability are confirmed on the retailer’s page, and we avoid stating a price as fixed fact.

Update cycle: We review each guide every 60–90 days and re-check specs, links, and availability.

What we don’t do: We do not claim hands-on testing, lab measurements, or unboxing we didn’t perform. If a claim can’t be sourced, we don’t make it.

How We Rank (Our Approach to Ratings)

Each product is assessed against transparent, category-specific dimensions — features, total ownership cost (device price plus any subscription), ease of setup, fit and size limits, and return/warranty terms.

Weights are stated per guide so you can see what mattered most for that particular decision.

What a score can’t tell you: It can’t predict your individual pet’s fit, and it can’t measure long-term durability without field data. Treat our research score as a decision aid — not a substitute for your own judgment or a hands-on test by someone who owns the product.

Corrections
